The stock size tire on the Infinity G20, 1991, is 195/60-14. I would like to know what wider size tires would be compatible on my car. I'd also like to know the benefits or downfalls of having a wider tire on this car.

You could go to a 205/55R14 without any clearance problems. I would not go any wider than that. This is an unusual size and will be harder to come by. The benefits are increase dry weather handling(cornering). They will typically be a little less effective in the rain and snow. They will cost more too. I would suggest going to a higher speed rated tire not a change in size if you are after a more aggressive driving experience. The Bridgestone RE 730 is an excellent tire as is the Dunlop SP 5000.

Your other option is to do a "plus" wheel & tire fitment. If you would like to accomplish both appearance and performance enhancements to your Infinity.
You could go to a "plus 1" with a 15" wheel and use a 205/50-15 tire or a "plus 2" to a 16" wheel with a 215/40-16 tire. Other possibilities as to tire size exist if your inclined to consider this option.
Check out PacerWheels.com & ICWracing.com for some wheel options & ideas.
