I'm thinking of installing a set of BFGoodrich Winter Slaloms on my 2000 Focus. They seem like a good tire for the money, (about $48 at a local warehouse club). I have heard horror stories about running the factory RS-A's in the winter. For the most part we'll use the Focus as the winter car so the Accord can rest peacefully in the garage when it snows.

Most of my driving is in the south central part of PA (light to moderate snow/slush) although I do occassionally travel to the western part of the state (lots of snow). I think I ran these tires on an old 83 civic through the hills of western PA, but I believe they were sold as a Sears Roadhandler Wintermaster?

Does anybody have any thoughts on these tires.

Thanks for your help.
