I am planning on get some winter tires for a 2000 Honda Accord. I have narrowed my choice down to one of the following: Nokkia Q / Blizzak / Arctic Apline. Any recommendations? I will be driving in slush, fresh as well as packed snow and some ice.IP: Logged |

I have a recommendation that you didn't include. I can't speak for the tires that you've mentioned but I put Toyo Observe G-02 winters on my 1999 Accord. I find they have good grip in all conditions, especially on ice. As well, they are quiet on dry roads. They are a little pricier than some other tires - between the Nokian and Blizzaks. I've heard good things about all the tires you've mentioned and am thinking about Arctic Alpin tires for my wife's 2000 Civic Si. I'll be able to report on those next year!Craig - Ottawa, Canada IP: Logged |

The only tire that will perform very well in all the conditions you mentioned is Nokian. Keep in mind that they are more expensive to buy, but they will outlast all others two times, plus they will outperformed anything else in harsh conditions. (Made in Finland, where winter last for seven mounths).IP: Logged | |
