 | posted October 22, 2000 09:19 PM I need to purchase new tires for my Mercedes E320. I drive fast and corner agressively, and live where there is no snow and little rain and VERY hot in the summer. I want to keep my standard 15" rims.
Can any of you help me with a good choice for performance tires? Every dealer I talk to here wants to keep me in Michelin Energy's but they appear to be more of a compromise touring tire to my uninformed mind. Many thanks,Steve

 | posted October 24, 2000 05:40 PM Hey,
two recommendations for you that are cheaper than the Michelins and handle a lot better:
 1.) Bridgestone RE 7302.) Kumho Supra 712
Shop at tirerack.com not your local dealer for the best price and service. They will drop ship your tires to a recommended tire installation center or a shop of your choice. They have excellent test results and customer survey results to compare tires. My e-mail is diacovone@aol.com if you have any more questions. IP: Logged |

These will ride smoother, and unless you have aftermarket suspension upgrades, Ultra High Performance tires will just ride noisier and harsher.
