I went to Costco looking for X-One's and they said the X-Plus they sell is the same tire. It has the same wear, traction, and temp ratings, and the same XSE construction. The tread pattern also appears to be the same.
Ture?

I currently own a set of X-Ones and I've also looked at both the Costco and Sears version, but decided to go with the X-Ones. All three use the same XSE technology and have the same ratings. The only difference is the tread pattern. The Sears version of the X-Ones have a totally different tread pattern. The Costco version I never paid much attention too but have seen them and their tread pattern is very similar to the X-Ones. Very minor difference. The Sears guy told me that the Sears tread pattern gives it better traction in water and snow compared to the Costco and Michelin's version. I'm not sure if that is true or not and decided not to buy Sears. Plus the Sears version was more expensive. So the Costco one would probably perform equal to the real X-Ones. Personally I would buy a tire form a tire chain since I kinda trust them more than Costco, since they deal just in tires. But if the Costco tires are cheaper by a lot then go with them since them seem to be identical to the X-Ones. Where I live the Costco version was only $5 cheaper than the true X-Ones.
