I just brought a pair of YOKOHAMA AVS intermidiate 245-40-17 for my m3 rear, after they were mounted and balanced on the way home
I felt my car pull to the right and the car felt akward as I was switching lanes. does any body no whay it started doing this.

Then I heard that the m3 rear tires have a
special left and right. can I use these yokohamas or they do not belong in this car even though they are the same size as the stock

you just need more air.

It is also better to have same model/brand tires in the front, for improved vehicle balance.

unidirectional tires are fine but you can use either on any car. dont worry

Tires have a break in period. Most people think you put them on are they are ready to give there best performance but in reality most tires need 300 to 500 miles before they start to feel like they should. First the mold release, a slick coating on the surface of the tire, must wear off. Next the cords and belts get acustom to flexing and changing shape as the tire rolls. Most new tires feel like they are not flat on the road but like the tread center is bulging out. All the German cars I have purchased mentioned this tire break in somewhere in the owners manuel. Put some miles on them then see how they feel.
