Am trying to upgrade the wheels on my vwfox. Does the offset need to be the same as the original tires?? Am going from 13's to either 14's or 15's. According to my front wheel it says ET45 on it. That translates to a 45mm offset, right? If wheels with a different offset get put on what problems will arise? thanx.

You can change the offset some with little significant change in vehicle handling.
When You change tire size / brand / line you will also change the ride & handling.

You didn't say why you want to change the wheels. Looks or performance?
