Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about putting bigger tires on a 1998 chevy S-10, 2WD? The stock tire size is 205-75R15. I want to put a bigger , taller tire on it for trail use. How much bigger can I go without getting serious rubbing on the front when I turn? The guys at the tire shops are'nt much help .

i do not own an S-10, sorry i have a Ford. I went up two sizes and down two sizes and they fit fine on my Ford. Usually you can go 10% larger with no rubbing and no computer/ABS problems. That would give you a 225/65 R15. Bigger than that and you will likely get rubbing on a full turn. I would go to a 4X4 Truck Shop close to your house and ask them instead of a regular tire store. I buy myself from tirerack.com only due to excellent service and great prices.
