Does anyone know if the Michelin LTX A/T tires are available in the P255/70R16 size? I have a '95 Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition, with Firestone Wilderness AT tires that I want to replace. I would like to get the all-terrain tread if possible since I take my vehicle out on snow covered roads and I've heard that the M/S version of the LTX tire is not particularly good in the snow. I checked the Michelin website and the A/T tires are not listed.IP: Logged |

You can check size/availability @ www.tirerack.com. I believe they can get just about any size for you. I have the A/T's on my JGC and they are great tires. I've purchased thru tirerack in the past, but I bought mine locally at Sam's Club as tirerack does not discount them much. (Sam's also has a good rebate on Michelins right now!)IP: Logged |

I bought a set of Michelin LTX A/T in 235/65/15 a couple of years ago to replace the original Michelin XC A/T tires on my 90 Ranger (after 100,000km), and must say that I was disappointed in their lack of road handling on gravel. They were no where near as good on washboard or on snow/ice as the older XC tires. As a result, when I upgraded to a new Explorer last year, I did not have the tires changed over (as I have always done in the past) to Michelin, but accepted the stock Wilderness AT set (16", not subject to the recall). They are no better on gravel than the LTXs were, and now there is the tread separation issue ...? IP: Logged |

Just put the same exact tires on my 2000 Expedition, as a result of the Firestone mess. Got them at Sams Club as well.IP: Logged | |
