Topic: BFG Long Trail T/A on Subaru Outback?

Tirerack suggested the BFG as a good all-season snow-capable tire. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'll need to replace the Michelin XW4's (205/70/15) and need an "on-road" all season tire that works well in snow. I know I could go with a set of dedicated snows, but at this point I'd rather find something that can stay on all year.Tirerack said the BFG Long Trails were good in the snow, but I thought that was an SUV tire, and I'm not sure if it will work well on the Outback. Try Vredestein quatrac 2, traction and ride

I've heard of Vredestein making a decent snow tire, but I don't know much about the rest of their line. Have you driven on the Quatrac 2 and if so on what vehicle (or do you sell them for that matter?). Their website makes the tire sound too good to be true!Also, how does the quality, performance, & longevity compare with the major brands? IP: Logged | |
