The Wilderness AT on my Ford Explorers tread came off my rear tire at 65 mph and almost rolled my vehicle. The tread separation caused considerable damage to my car. Any info?IP: Logged |

I've had 2 Firstone ATX tires breakaway (separate) internally. I caught it before the tread actually separated and opened up. I replaced them and didn't think anything of it untill I saw the news about the lawsuit. I think Firestone should recall these tires. any news on that?IP: Logged |

sorry i wasnt able to respond sooner, you will need to contact firestone copr, talk to their legal dept on tire damage compensation, then file clain w/ 2 estimates, and send them the original tires / or reciepts of original purchase. I collected $1100.00 for my truck damage. Plus I'm going to use some of their $ to buy Goodrich. quote: Originally posted by G. I replaced my 4 wilderness ATs (16 in) tires @ my own expense because I strongly feel they are going to discover that its not a problem w/ the one plant or one size tire. I'm holding on to my Firestones hoping for this day as my Michelins were not cheap. However they are wonderful tires! IP: Logged |
