I live in the South and I own a 1995 Volvo 960.I presently have Michelins XGT/V4. I have only 73,000 miles and I am on my 2nd set of tires about to buy my 3rd set. I don't drive fast either, and I have my tires balaned and aligned like clock work. Now I need new tires. Please recommend a tire that will give me a longer treadwear, good in rain, on the highway and smooth and comfortable ride with good cornering. Thanks.

here you go:

michelin rainforce mx4 good tire, long lasting(probably 65,000 miles) but a bit expensive

for long tread life with a much better price, then go with the Pirelli P400 Super Touring, good for 70,000 miles.

Go to tirerack.com, go under tires, then go under performance all season, grand touring and touring tire sections. each one will have a treadwear rating. you want something above 400treadwear to last at least 60,000 miles, then go look at their ratings from customer data, and price for your size. they will drop ship the tires to a service center near your house and even tell you how much the center charges for mounting and balancing. i save about $125 on my last purchase from them. it is definitely worth looking up the site and going from there. good luck.
