I can not decide which tyres to buy? I have Hyundai Accent 1.3, 72 HP, 1996. Weather here in Macedonia is continental. Summer temperatures are up to 45 oC and winters up to -20. There's not plenty of rains and also have snow and ice.Can anyone make to me recommendation on tyre(s) 175/70 R13 from the brands which we have in Skopje: Bridgestone Continental Dunlop Firestone Fulda Goodyear Kleber Michelin Pirelli Semperit Vredestein Yokohama Thank you in advance and have a nice summer. You didn't say what you like and don't like about your current tires. I would suggest you start with selecting a good tire dealer and telling him what you want. "Best tire" is like asking what is the "best meal" everyone has their own wants, needs and desires. A tire that is very good for ride & handling may not be so good on another vehicle because all vehicles are different.IP: Logged |

I have Hankok 886 tires, 175/70 R13. They're not so comfortable on ride, noisy, not good on wet, especially on straight driving. So, I would like new tires to be oposite of this present ones - more comfortable, good on ride, good on wet and also on dry, to have low rolling resistance. Regarding the tire dealers, here our dealers are selling only one or two brands each. So every one of them are favorizing their tires. Also think that their knowledge on tire technology and characteristics are not so high. Some of them have not heard even about the SILICA compounds and what does that mean! The offer here (for this 175/70 R13 dimension) are like: Michelin MXT, MXT Energy, XT1, Dunlop SP10 3e, S70, Pirelli 2000 and 3000, Yokohama 306 and 706, Marshal 772, Fulda Drago Year Ventura, Aquatrade, Continental Eco EP, Semperit, Vredestein T trac, Bridgestone b330, Firestone Energy Saver, Hankok, Sava (Slovenien), Tigar (Yugoslav), Taurus (Russian or so), some Polish etc. So if you have any suggestion, especially based on some experience or on some tests, I will appreciate. Maybe between Michelin or Dunlop? Cheers, Mickey
