Looking at new tires to replace the OE Goodyear Conquest size 205/75R14 on a 97 Plymouth Voyager. Looking for long lasting comfortable ride with little noise and good traction in dry, wet and snow conditions. After talking to 6 different tire places I've basically narrowed my decision down to Michelin brand tires, and mainly the X-ONE. But a Canadian Tire in my city is having a grand opening sale and is selling the Michelin RainForce MX4, at half price for the second tire. So I buy 2 at full price and get the other two at half price.
I've read user reviews at tirerack and other sites and there seems to be mixed reviews about the MX4s. Some say that they are the best all season tire they have ever owned with great snow and wet traction. while others say they are the worst all seasons you can buy.
My question is, Is the $200 savings over getting the X-One worth it? Anyone who has used the RainForce MX4s please state your opinions about these tires? Sale last for a couple more days so the quicker the response the better.
