Is there any problem with storing my winter tires under my balcony (outside) during the winter? Will the summer heat or humidity cause any damage? I live in Montreal. Summers are pretty temperate.

You want to make sure that you store tires inside a building in a cool, dark, dry area. You do not want water to collect in the tires. It should be away from ozone generators (Electric motors, ...), solvents, and petroleum products (Gasoline).

I have heard 2nd hand that storing tires in a trash bag helps. However, I have not had much success with this myself as the tires that I end up purchasing are too big.

Hope this helps.
