Author Topic:   tire width Money042 unregistered posted March 22, 2000 05:25 PM            I'm in the market for new tires. Should I get wider tires? Factory tires are 265/35ZR17, I'm thinkin' about up it to 275/35ZR17... there's no problem with fit. I'm just wondering if wider is better. Also, will it protect the rim if the tire is wider? Finding a tire with a rim guard is probably a better bet than buying wider tires. Many brands have rim guards on shorter aspect ratio tires. IP: Logged
