I bought a 2000 Maxima SE that had the 17-inch tires on the vehicle. Nice rubber but the cost to replace the OEM tires (I think they are the Bridgestone RE92's)cost around $205 each! Even a decent pair of 17-inch Michilin Pilot's are going for about $165 each.

Does anyone know if one can put 16-inch tires on the new SE? If so, what size(s) would fit or is recommended by the manufacturer? I know the early 2000 SE's came with 16-inch tires (from what I've read the 17-inch option wasn't available until late July).

Thanks for any help or advice.
