I will soon be needing a replacement set of summer tires for my '95 M3 coupe. I have the 5-spoke forged alloys that are 7.5 and 8.5" wide.

I would like something that is somewhat less noisy and harsh the the orginal Michelins, but am not willing to sacrifice much performance--

All advice is welcome, thank you!

Tom,

I have the original Michelin's mxx3 on my M3 right now, but as these wear out I will switch to the Yokohama AVS Sports...they are a very good tire (better in wet then Michelin) and a much better $$$ value. You can also check the bimmer.org board for other people's opinions. Hope this helps.
