I swapped out my Dunlop 235-75-15 tires and
wheels for some 255-70-15 TAs mounted on some 15X7 alloys 25,000 miles ago and I couldn't
be more pleased. Everything is improved:
wet, dry, braking, cornering, noise. Unless
you really overload your truck you don't
need to suffer with 5-6ply LT truck tires.
I tow a race car with tools and spare
parts so unless you really overload your
truck I would recommend you dump your truck
tires and get some performance street radials you won't regret it. I would recommend them
for SUVs but SUVs handle so poorly and have
such a high center of gravity that better
tires could make them more prone to rollover
in an emergency.

Actually, though the P tires may seem to be rated for your application, it's not a great idea to run them loaded up much.
