...I'm upgrading my wheels and tires. Whichever size I choose to go with, the tires will be the same Dunlops. But the question is 15" rims or 16" rims. Will the 55 series 16" rim really make that much of a difference in handling? Will the 60 series 15" rim ride that much better? The width is the same for both tires. I do drive fairly aggressively when the opportunity presents itself but I'm not inclined to think there will be much difference between the two. For an extra $200, I'm thinking the 16" rims won't be worth it. As far as letting the design of the rim decide, it is the same for both as well. 15? 16? Yes? No? Your input would be appreciated. Tks

You can expect improvement in handling from 205/55R16 because of shallower and stiffer sidewall wich is translate to less distorsion in cornering situation, you are getting also better brake cooling due to the increased diamemter of the wheel, as you mentioned, if you are an agressive driver, go for it.IP: Logged | |
