I'm currently running Dunlop SP Sport 4000's, size 255/50ZR16. Because of the difference between OEM (235/60R16) and the Dunlops my speedo and odometer readings are off by 10%, which means I've put about 2,500 fewer miles on my car than it's showing. I like the width of the current tires but need something that has a diameter close to the OEM spec of 27.1". Does such a tire exist that doesn't belong on a truck? If it does, what about clearances? If not, do I need to go to an 18" rim to get increased width? What kind of tire should I get? I drive northern/central CA, lots of highway miles, with some twisties that I push pretty hard. People have recommended Pirelli 6000's, Firehawk SZ50's, Yokohama. The Dunlops have been pretty good, too. Any ideas?I appreciate your help. Impala IP: Logged | |
