I'm considering the Hakka 10 LT for my JGC in a 235/75/15. I need good winter & wet traction (Michigan winters!)and decent treadwear. The JGC goes through front tires pretty quickly! Anyone have any thoughts or experiences - or any other suggestions??IP: Logged |

I have the same vehicle and was considering that tire and the Arctic Alpin. Let me know how you make out. IP: Logged |

Great stuff! I put 35000 miles on a set of 235/75r15 on my explorer a couple years a go. Put a brand new set this year on my JGC, they are just wonderfull, can't consider any other winter tire since I first put them on. I strongly recommand them!IP: Logged |

I looked at the Hakka's but couldn't really justify the price. I ended up looking at the Bridgestone Blizzak for light trucks and the Alpins,Yokohama's, and Nokian's but these were more for passenger cars. I ended up buying the TOYO GP-4's. They were made for LT's, had a reasonable price, directional tread design, and their "Microbit" compound (ground walnut shells in the rubber) for ice adhesion. Took them up north into the snowbelt and can say that I am impressed.IP: Logged |

Hey Fred, Thanks for the post! Did you run those Hakka's all year round? - And if you did, how were they in the summer. Coming from Nokian, I'd imagine they're good in the snow, but how's the wear in the summer?IP: Logged | |
