I have a 1998 Olds Intrigue which, after less than 24,000 needs new tires. The Goodyear Eagle LS that came with it handled very well, but treadlife left much to be desired. I want tires with good wet/dry traction, are decent in snow (live on Long Island, NY), are quiet, and have decent treadlife. Was looking at Michelin X-Ones or Energy MXV4+, but have now started looking at the Bridgestone Revo and Yoko AVIDs. Current tires are 225/60R16 S rated. I am considering going to H rated if that will give a safer tire (note, one dealer suggested Mich. XGT H4's, but these have a very low treadlife rating on their website). Any help much appreciated, as I can't seem to get a consistent answer. -John IP: Logged |

I like the Yoko Avid Touring for quiet ride and long treadlife. I've had these for over a year on my Mazda and am very satisfied with their performance.IP: Logged |

You also may want to look at the P225/60R16 Firestone Affinity S2, the tire tha comes on the Ford Crown Victoria. Excellent all-round performance, wear and ride.IP: Logged |

I would say Revo, this tire is new and have good testing results from Tire Rack. But maybe more expensive than other H rated tires.IP: Logged | |
