The front right tire of my car recently hit a small rock irrigation wall destroyng the old tire and rim. I had the front worked on and aligned but apparently the castor could not be adjusted to spec. Just put 4 new tires on and the front left tire is already 3/4 worn down at ~5K miles. The garage said that the castor is off and i was wondering what is considered acceptable castor variance before tire wear? (98 Honda Accord Sedan 4cyl) And, if the car is damaged and needs to be straightened what would be acceptable?

PS: For those of you too cheap or busy to get your tires balanced/rotated and wheels aligned . Do IT !! It's worth $70 to protect a $300-$1200 investment. trust me.

Caster is not a cause of tire wear. If you have heavy wear on the tire at the corner that was damaged I would have the car looked at again. Caster is set when all the parts are installed. If a lower control arm or strut tower are damaged it will cause the caster to be off and you should be feeling a pull when driving. I would need to see the wear on the tire to tell you just what and where it maybe coming from. Take the car to a shop that has ride control experts working for them. Some body shops will offer this. You may have to do some looking. Good luck
