I'm looking at the P6000SV's but I am now kinda worried about their snow performance... and after looking at some reviews at tirerack.com, I saw they gave the P4000's a pretty good rating in terms of snow tracktion. Is this true? Also, could someone please post some links with reviews of the P6000SV and the P4000 other than tirerack.com? Thanks.Nick IP: Logged |

I live in Chicago, drive an Accord, and bought P4000's about 2 years ago. They have provided middling performance, i.e., not the best but not bad either. I got them because I wanted a quiet ride, which I have gotten, and were relatively inexpensive. I have found recently, though, that traction is starting to go way down (dry and wet pavement). I've still got about 0.25 inch of tread left. I got Dunlop D60A2 tires a month ago on my other car and I'm very pleased with them. They're very quiet and provide good traction and were even less expensive than the Pirelli's. Reviews have said that thay have excellent snow traction. We'll see in a month. I'm planning to buy the Dunlop's to replace the Pirelli's in the spring, provided of course that they perform good in the winter.IP: Logged | |
